We're a small family kitchen in Carmel Valley Village. Lucy runs the back of the house — that's her hand in the salsa, the beans, the marinade for the al pastor. Carlos and Roberto run the counter. The recipes haven't changed much since 1991, and we like it that way.
We do a hefty to-go business, but if you've got a minute, sit and stay a while. Help yourself at the salsa bar — cilantro, pickled vegetables, three kinds of salsa. Order at the counter, find a seat under the bright artwork, and let us take care of the rest.
